Winter Storm Brutus was a winter storm occurring in the West, bringing blizzard conditions, rain and snow amounts to large parts of Montana, Idaho, and elevated parts of North California.<ref></ref> No casualties or major damage occurred but up to 24" of snow occurred in North Montana.<ref></ref><ref></ref> Brutus also brought rain to the West Coast to the Midwest. Brutus occurred right before Winter Storm Athena dissipated of the Northeast Coast. Brutus also sent several cold front running down the country, no tornadoes occurred in these fronts but high winds and heavy rain were reported across the country. Brutus brought snow to Chicago, ending their period of little snow.<ref></ref>
